Chopsticks and Travel Shoes

Hi, I'm glad you stopped by.

My name is Lizbeth. Grab a panda and join me as I leave Las Vegas in pursuit of adventure in China's tea houses, classrooms, dirt roads, and industrial cities. I shoot with a Nikon D3100 and am sharing my journey through it's lens.

I know we fooled you but that’s actually me and Lizzie, not a tiger and an elephant. :)

Charlie introduced me to a little stand by school that sells these awesome potatoes. They’re cooked to a crisp with some ground chili powder and salt. Pretty simple but very tasty. I got some before our journey to the festival. For lunch in the park, we ordered these noodles wich are some of my favorite!

The festival was really one of the best events I’ve been to in China.

LR: Me, Karla, Lizzie, Mary, Hyo.

On a side note, I’m not sure when my hair got so dark and big…

The Zebra Music Festival, which originated in Chengdu, is currently in it’s fourth year. The three day event has become so popular that it is now held in a few other Chinese cities including Shanghai and Hangzhou. The park is filled with all sorts of tents and activities (e.g.: flea markets, art, food, beer, merchandise, african drumming, etc…). Everything is centered around musical acts from all over the world. We were able to watch bands from China, France, Israel, and Africa.

A large portion of the proceeds go to help various animal foundations. Animal welfare and rescue is promoted all throughout the event.

On Monday, a few of us traveled almost two hours outside of the city to attend a huge event called “The Zebra Music Festival”.

LR: Lizzie, Hyo, and Myself.
Pictures and details forthcoming. :D
